“League of Legends” Animated Series Coming From Riot Games
Riot Games is reportedly producing an animated series inspired by League of Legends set to premiere sometime in 2020. The series, known as Arcane, will be looking for a 14+ audience and will be entirely self-funded by Riot Games who are busy sending reps through Hollywood for possible distribution. The game’s synopsis reads as follows:
From the creators of League of Legends comes a new animated series about the origins of two iconic League champions—and the power that will tear them apart.
Our Take
The franchise made $1.4 billion last year and I’m willing to bet the farm that Netflix is going to chase this one hard. Riot’s gonna have no problem paying this one off, I can tell you that much.
