Jeez Louise….people love puppets

Did any of you guys get to see the “Muppets” movie that came out last week? Well, apparently many of you did  because its already made $45 million at the box office which is great because I like the Muppets too but I very seldom go to the movies anymore(yea, I’ll wait for Netflix).

Well if you love puppets there’s more where that came from because it was announced last week by The Hollywood Reporter that NBC has picked up “The New Nabors” a single-camera show about a family that lives in Palm Springs, FL with puppets as neighbors and will be written by 30 Rock scribe John Riggi and John Hoffman. The show itself is being exec-produced by the Henson Company.

This comes off the heels of the Henson Company’s “Henson Alternative” division launching a new Adult Puppet show called “History Of” being helmed by Chris Regan, and will tell of history’s biggest events being reenacted by puppets( an early sketch has their view of what REALLY happened the day Michael Jackson died).

Yep, people love “the Muppets”, and here’s more proof(1:47)
