JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKES BACK IN A NEW ANIMATED FILM FOR 2013

A lot of people have been doing the Reddit AMA thing recently as I know Phil Lamarr recently did one promoting Futurama. Welp, count Kevin Smith(Clerks) as the most recent subject of an AMA and he let loose that he will be bringing back Jay and Silent Bob albeit in animated form. However, the result might not be what you think, as instead of confirming the rumored return of the Clerks animated series Kevin spilled the beans and let everyone know that their will be a new full length feature film in 2013.

Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie is the name of it and its set to be released sometime next year. No word yet if this is a movie that will be in theaters or if its a direct to DVD type deal but in any case it should keep fans of the old school ABC aired animated series at bay. Smith’s Youtube channel actually does a weekly cartoon based off of his podcast ala The Ricky Gervais Show and you can  check out his new Hulu movie review series “Spoilers,” and AMC’s “Comic Book Men” (which was recently picked up for a 2nd season). In an related note, I no longer go to the Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ because it has devalued as a comic books store and instead is pretty much a tourist attraction, which I for one can not stand. But, whatever, I go to Comics Plus in Oakhurst, NJ.
