Pop music. To me it’s like glitter. The herpes of the art world. And that’s exactly what Macklemore & Ryan Lewis gave us a few months ago with their lyrical ear rape “Thrift Shop.” Thank the Lord above that the internet has a sense of humor and pretty much the ability to right all of the world’s wrongs, because LiteralMSPaint came along and knocked this song OUT OF THE PARK!!! I’ve been a fan of lyrical interpretation videos for a while, and since I mostly listen to metal, there’s no shortage of misheard lyrics. But this video is different. It takes some pretty generic rap lyrics and literally turns them on their ear. Unfortunately, Literal ( thats what I’m calling him from now on, since he is without a Twitter handle to properly identify him! FIND HIM INTERNET!!!) didn’t have the wherewithal to drive a pickax through that ear to prevent further infection. The art is strictly from MS Paint, so you really can’t expect much from it. But this video is hilarious and I’m going to grade it on that, not its use of torturous music/ancient technologies.

AMENDMENT: I was on TheChive.com today and they just so happen to have a feature on an artist who will literally draw anything you imagine in MS Paint in striking detail. Could we be seeing a return of MS Paint? Have hipsters finally turned in their typewriters for computers?? Stay tuned….

Not since the tragic passing of Steve Irwin have I been so excited to see a video containing a koala and a pervert. Although, if I had looked a little harder at some Australian YouTube pages, I probably wouldn’t have waited this long. It’s been a while since we’ve had some new DS69, but it was really worth the wait. This show has raised the bar when it comes to cartoon sexual references (and that’s coming from a fan of Rob Zombie’s “The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto”). Not too many people can say they’ve reviewed a video of a spaceship violently deep throating a moon after it had crime scene sex with a lady planet. But I’m very happy to say that I have. Keep up the good work DS69 and welcome back!!

Ps. For the love of all that is holy, please DO NOT Google Image search “Crime Scene Sex.” It’s gonna put you on ALL the wrong watch lists. You’re welcome.

Watching this show gave me chills. Sadly, those chills were the sad reminder that summer is slowly approaching. I’ve got nothing against summer. But, ya see, Good Ol ChefRich lives in New Jersey. On the shore. The Jersey Shore. Which means I will soon have to listen to conversations like ones had in this show for the better part of FIVE FUCKING MONTHS!!! If you’re curious what most conversations with summering New Yorkers sounds like, please watch this. Yes, I compared the conversation to “Drinkin Outta Cups,” the internet classic. Nothing personal New Yorkers (especially my fellow contributers Gonzo Green and Achille$) but if you’re gonna come down to my beach, could you at least do so in fucking silence??? I digress. The artwork in the show is pretty basic, but surprisingly really fun to watch. The voice acting is spot on to the way the characters act. I think RugBurn’s got a good one here, so keep your eyes open for more!
