Is Ned Flanders Not Really Left-Handed? EP For “The Simpsons” Responds To Startling Discovery

This probably won’t be the most controversial thing to happen in regards to The Simpsons this year, but at least it’s way more fun. You may not know this, but The Simpsons is a religion in the UK/Ireland and the result has been numerous “Steamed Hams” videos and ardent fans constantly scanning episodes for noteworthy contradictions. Whether it’s Moe showing up twice in an episode or the constant barrage of “The Simpsons Called It”, you can definitely point fingers at UK/Ire being the source of such viral news.

The latest one involves Ned Flanders (voiced by Harry Shearer) and his long-standing notion that he is very left-handed, so left-handed that he had opened a Leftorium mall store that subsequently went under. Turns out, eagle-eyed Irish fans of The Simpsons have noted a bunch of contradictions to this proclamation and have pointed them out to show executive producer Al Jean who vows retaliation against producers for the show that probably don’t work there anymore.

Here’s hoping the first person fired is Hank Azaria. In any event, the series that was recently named UK’s favorite family continues to keep fans hooked for more fun sight gags like so. The Simpsons returns this fall on FOX with brand-new episodes. Until then, producers and cast from the show will be part of San Diego Comic-Con which you can get details for here.
