Hulu Orders Hybrid Series “Woke”
Fresh off of a supporting voice role on Human Discoveries which is streaming now on Facebook Watch, Lamorne Morris has received a series order from Hulu for Woke. The show is a live-action/animation hybrid inspired by Keith Knight and centers on Keef (Morris), a cartoonist living in San Francisco on the cusp of mainstream success when an unexpected incident involving cops changes everything, putting him in a state of “woke.”
Eric Christian Olsen and Will Gluck are tapped as producers.
Our Take
I like that Hulu is balancing out it’s animation orders. They have four adult animated series on the way via Marvel but have also ordered projects from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, 20th Century FOX, and now this.
