Here is What it Would Look Like if Animation Domination Made Its Own Avengers Team

Comic book movies have become one of the biggest moneymakers in Hollywood. It seems like every month there is another superhero getting their own full-length feature. Beyond that, they are crossing over and developing their own super teams and universes. And, even as the films get bigger and more intense, there seems to be no sign of stopping. So, everyone seems to be cashing in and trying to create their own superhero franchises.

Instead of starting from scratch, it may be advantageous for companies to begin looking within their existing franchises. Disney may have just purchased another powerhouse in the crossover superhero genre with Fox’s Sunday night line-up, more affectionately referred to as Animation Domination.

Animated sitcoms have long taken advantage of popular subcultures. Superheroes and comic books have been an underline theme to multiple shows, stories, and side-plots throughout some of our favourite cartoons. Therefore, we decided to put together a list of superheroes that have already appeared on Animation Domination to see who could make up Fox’s own super team. Below is our extraordinary line-up of Avengers from some of our favourite animated sitcoms.

Bartman

Our first addition to the Animation Domination Avengers is a character that has actually never appeared on television. It may come as a surprise to many that the iconic alter ego of Bart Simpson is not canonically part of the everlasting TV series. Bartman was initially created as part of a song and dance released in The Simpsons chart-topping debut album, The Simpsons Sing the Blues. Going forward, the Batman parody has featured in his own comic book published by Bongo comics, and later a video game developed for the NES.

Despite having no powers beyond skateboarding and all-round rabblerousing, Bartman could be a significant part of the superhero team. The young hero brings recognition to the group and could easily be the face of the operation. Aside from that, Bart also brings his sister overly intelligent sister, much like Black Panther. Together Bart and Lisa have proven themselves as competent detectives and problem solvers. They have been able to take down sinister villains such as Sideshow Bob, Gabbo, and Mr. Burns.

Waderman and Hot Cocoa Bang Bang

Waderman.jpg

He may be a spin-off, but Cleveland has his own formidable superhero to add to the Animation Domination Avengers. In the second season of The Cleveland Show, “Hot Cocoa Bang Bang” brought the characters into Comicon and their own brand of heroism. Cleveland created his alter ego Waderman and attempted to sell his own comic book. That is when he found out his wife, Donna, was once the star of her own action movie, Hot Cocoa Bang Bang. In an attempt to stop the film from airing, they decide to take on their created aliases and were able to win the day.

Waderman’s special abilities involve him being able to walk in the water without getting his pants wet. Thanks to his waders, he is able to save people who have fallen into fountains and potentially large puddles. Meanwhile, Hot Cocoa Bang Bang is a powerful hero using kung fu, hand-to-hand weapons, and pistols. Together they add a dynamic partnership unafraid of any circumstances ala Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Axe Cop

Axe Cop.jpg

Created by Ethan Nicolle and his five-year-old brother, Malachai, Axe Cop began as a comic superhero. Eventually, the ax-wielding powerhouse made his way to television. Before Axe Cop found his popularity on FX, he got his start on Fox. That makes him a perfect addition to the Animation Domination Avengers.

Axe Cop is a powerful hero with strength, bravery, and a slew of helpful comrades. His ax is strong enough to chop off the hardest of “bad guys heads”. Riding his dinosaur with machine gun arms, nothing can stand in the way of the most muscular cop there is. The former president of the world is a true leader, matched by only Captain America himself. The super team will be all that more impactful with Axe Cop and his range of powers from uni-powers to avocado powers.

Everyman

Everyman is another Simpsons character that deserves to be on the Animation Domination Avengers. Appearing in the episode “Homer the Whopper”, he is the creation of the legendary Comic Book Guy. Getting his own full-length film within the show, Everyman was played by none other than Homer J. Simpson. Though for this situation we will treat this hero as his own individual persona, or by his alter ego, Avery Mann.

This is our first addition with some real superpowers to add to the group. Everyman has the ability to take on whatever superpowers of the comic book he touches. In one situation he was able to stop a robbery with the powers of Iron Man and Plastic Man. But, on a team of heroes, Everyman offers the ability to make an impact in any situation. And, his common man identity makes him a beloved addition.

Golan the Insatiable

How can you have an Avengers without a Hulk? Thankfully, Animation Domination has had some pretty exciting shows throughout the years. Golan the Insatiable was a short-lived series that lasted 12 episodes between 2013-15. The series may have been massively underrated, but that doesn’t mean that Golan himself should go unrecognized.

Golan the Insatiable is a warlord who reigned over the dimension of Gkruool with an iron fist. By happenstance, he was transported to Earth by the powers of a young goth girl, Dylan Beekler. Though his kingdom was overthrown, Golan lives in Oak Grove, Minnesota as strong as ever. His skills make him formidable on his own, and his ambitions of taking over a small town make him even scarier.

The Super Griffins

Super Griffins.PNG

Family Guy is no stranger to superheroes. They have managed to parody Spider-Man, the Justice League, and even the Hulk. But, that didn’t stop the Griffins from gaining their own superpowers. In season 3, an episode titled “Viewer Mail #1” gave us a new look at Peter and family. In a segment of the show, the Griffins were victims of a nuclear waste accident that gave them all-new abilities. How could we not include the Super Griffins in the Animation Domination Avengers?

The already formidable super team has some heavy hitters to add to our roster. Peter was gifted with the shapeshifting abilities, even going as far as transforming into a dinosaur and a troll doll. Brian helps to add some superspeed, Chris adds fire abilities, while Stewie gains telekinesis. Lois leads the way with her super-strength. And, Meg, well, her fingernails grow pretty long. But, this supergroup adds their strength to our team much like the Guardians of the Galaxy team up with the Avengers.

The New Justice Team

New Justice Team.png

Another team that could add their strength to the Animation Domination Avengers is the New Justice Team. The trio of superheroes from the future may have turned evil, but we figure that they would do the right thing if presented with a group of heroes to join. Appearing in the season four episode “Less than Hero” of Futurama, Fry, Leela, and Bender came to form their “new era of justice”.

Fry and Leela gain their special abilities from a tube of Miracle Cream gifted to them by Dr. Zoidberg. Together they became the unstoppable duo of Captain Yesterday and Clobberalla.  They each are granted invulnerability, super-strength, and lickity speed.  Later, feeling left out, Bender joined the crew under the alias Super King. He adds his own robot strength, extendable arms, or as the theme song puts it “all the powers of a king, plus all the powers of Superman, also he’s a robot”.

Pie Man

Pie Man.gif

Homer Simpson has had endless careers throughout the decades that The Simpsons has aired. But, in one instance, Homer became a full-fledged superhero. Which means that he can be added to the Animation Domination Avengers. In the episode “Simple Simpson” Homer finds a way to serve his own brand of justice when he pies the Rich Texan for insulting his daughter. Feeling glory from the situation, he takes on a full costume and alias and becomes Springfield’s own local vigilante.

Pie Man doesn’t have any real powers to add, besides being effective at throwing pies at people’s faces. Regardless, he is a capable vigilante who managed to thwart the police and his enemies. Pie Man has been used for evil after being blackmailed into becoming Mr. Burns’s personal hitman. So, he would quickly want to take his power back and be a part of this animated super team. Bart also joined forces with Homer as the Cupcake Kid, but he is put to much better use as Bartman.

Zorn

Son of Zorn.jpg

How could we not include one of the most potent warriors Fox has in its roster. Say what you will about the show, Son of Zorn gave us our Thor for our Animation Domination Avengers. The barbarian warrior who moved to Orange County to be with his ex-wife and biological son was once the defender of the South Pacific island Zephyria. Now he could be our strongest Avenger.

Zorn, himself does not have any superpowers per-se. Instead, he is one of the most powerful warriors in the world. He uses his brute strength and determination to defeat some of the greatest monsters. If he could get over his family issues, then there would be no stopping this beast of an animated figure. He would fit into our team no problem, and be an effective leader as well.

Monsignor Martinez

Martinez.jpg

King of the Hill was much more based in reality, and therefore nobody gained any superpowers. However, the show does have one of the greatest Mexican action stars of all-time. He appears in multiple episodes as part of a show within a show known as Las Dias Y Los Noches de Monsignor Martinez (or, in English: The Days and the Nights of Monsignor Martinez).

Catholic priest by day, a mercenary by night, Monsignor Martinez is a capable killing machine. With the catchphrase “Vaya con Dios” (or, “go with God”) he is capable of taking out his most formidable enemies. Monsignor Martinez is the hard-faced weapon that our team needs, the equivalent of Winter Soldier, but even more dangerous.

Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy

This list would not be complete with the most influential members of the Animation Domination Avengers, Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy. The dynamic duo of The Simpsons universe has appeared in countless episodes of the series. Radioactive Man represents a plethora of heroes for the show including Superman and the Hulk. While Fallout Boy is the quintessential sidekick. Together they have appeared in comic books, video games, and even have their own action figures.

“Up and atom,” Radioactive Man brings everything a good superhero team needs. His powers are relatively unknown; however, it is implied that he has super strength, invulnerability, as well as flight. Fallout Boy’s abilities are equally in question, but it would be expected that his powers are a reflection of his mentor. It is a no brainer that any Animation Domination Avengers would centre around these two and their relationship, much like Iron Man and Spider-Man through the last two Avengers films.

This would be one heck of a team, and a television special that no one would want to miss. Let’s get an Animation Domination Avengers movie together for Disney+!
