Harry Shearer Is Still Annoyed By This Classic Moment From “The Simpsons”

According to Al Jean in the latest update to The Hollywood ReporterThe Simpsons is still very much on track in it’s production for the upcoming season and beyond and there are already a handful of episodes for the show’s next season already in the can. This is great news for guys like Harry Shearer as it assures him that he’ll have a steady amount of work for the foreseeable future.

Harry was in a recent interview as well with The Green Room with Neil Griffiths where he surprisingly had an anecdote about a classic episode that he is, to this day, NOT a fan of. That episode, “The Principal & The Pauper” featured an ending where Principal Skinner was an alter ego of Armin Tamzarian. According to the interview, Harry felt like the episode was a bit of a betrayal to the audience, a sentiment echoed by Matt Groening in an interview with Rolling Stone.

The longtime voice of such characters as “Ned”, “Skinner”, “Reverend Lovejoy”, and “Dr. Hibbert” will often voice concerns about creative directions for his characters which probably is some of the sauce that has kept the show going for over three decades.

New episodes of The Simpsons return on April 19th.
