Guest Star News: “The Simpsons” Gets Tracy Morgan ; Christopher Lloyd Wants In On “Rick and Morty”
One is happening, the other the world wants to happen.
In a recent interview with the Phoenix New Times, Christopher Lloyd has floated the possibility of joining the cast of Rick and Morty in a guest-starring role as Rick’s father in an upcoming episode. With a 70-episode back order commissioned by Adult Swim a couple of months ago, it’s very possible that the recently Emmy-nominated series could get the original “Doc”.:
So you’re a fan of Rick and Morty?
I don’t follow it closely, but I’ve seen a few episodes and I gotta tell you, I think it’s a lot of fun. I know it’s some kind of parody of Doc and Marty.Would you ever want to guest star or do a guest voice on the show?
I’d like to, of course. I think it’s really fun.Maybe as like Rick’s father or something like that?
(Chuckles) Yeah, yeah. That’d be fun.
Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction adventure comedy series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim.
Entertainment Weekly has the scoop that Tracy Morgan is guest-starring in not one but two episodes of The Simpsons (aka one of U2’s favorite shows this fall. He will be in two episodes, the first one entitled “My Way or the Highway to Heaven,” he’ll voice himself, in the other, he’ll voice a tow truck driver in an episode called “Baby You Can’t Drive My Car,”.
