Gen: Lock Gets Premiere Date

This past weekend at New York Comic Con, Rooster Teeth has officially announced a January 26th, 2019 start date for it’s newest animated franchise Gen: Lock.
gen:LOCK is an upcoming American anime-style web series created, written and directed by Gray Haddock for Rooster Teeth. It is set on a dystopian future Earth in which cultural divisions are solved through fighting in giant, mecha robot armor and follows a diverse team of young pilots.
Along with a streaming series which is set to include a stellar cast including the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, and others, Rooster Teeth has announced a collaboration with DC Comics that will see both Gen: Lock and RwBy (volume 6 coming October 27) get comic book adaptations that will 100% be canon to both universes helping bridge certain gaps and storylines that the series proper hasn’t gotten to. The comics will be released both in physical and digital formats next year.
