Gary Janetti Posts New Clip For “The Prince” As UK Tabloids Report On The Amount Of Controversy The Series Is Already Creating

Show creator Gary Janetti has released a new clip for his upcoming HBO MAX animated comedy, The Prince, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2021. Having just been made available on Roku and Amazon Fire in the last few months, the fledgling service looks to make a rebound in 2021 with strong content and an ad-supported tier coming sometime in Q1.

As for Janetti’s The Prince, the show very well could be the impetus that helps HBO MAX thrive next year. With eight episodes on the way, local UK rags like The Sun and Daily Mail are claiming that the Bento Box animated series may cause harm to the upbringing of Prince George, of whom the show is based on and who show creator Gary Janetti portrays in the biting satire of the royal family that will feature the likes of Orlando Bloom (as “Prince Harry”), Sophie Turner(as “Princess Charlotte”), and Dan Stevens as part of the cast.

By the way, it’s worth noting that both articles claim the show’s budget at £5 million and that a UK premiere is expected to happen. Despite HBO MAX’s recent attempts to begin an international expansion, how The Prince will premiere in the UK is still up in the air. Typically, US-produced adult animation is distributed internationally by Netflix, but with this being a 20th Century FOX production, it’s unknown where this one will show up overseas.
