“Gangsta” Home Release Set for May 2017

In a big announcement from Funimation, the anime series Gangsta based on the Manga by Kohske will have an official U.S. home release later on May 16, 2017, with standard & limited editions available for pre-order.

Both the anime & Manga series follow the bloody adventures of a one-eyed gigolo/hitman named Worick Arcangelo and his partner, the deaf badass Nicolas Brown who’s part of a race of super-powered crack babies called “Twilights” who are forcibly segregated to a crime-riddled town called “Ergastulum”.

Our Take

The animation team Manglobe who animated this series along with other previous works such as “Samurai Champloo, Michiko & Hatchin and Deadman Wonderland” no longer exists. So the fact it has a home-release at all is nothing short of a miracle.
