Games Review: Wrecker’s Revenge – Gumball
The game isn’t a complete wreck, but you’ll need the practice to get good at the somewhat complex mechanics.
Wrecker’s Revenge-Gumball is a new game from Cartoon Network Games that sees you trying to rescue Darwin, Anais, Richard, Nicole, Banana Joe, Penny, Anton, Carrie, Masami, and Bobert by way of an action-platform that requires you to jump from a multitude of island obstacles. During the course of the game, you’ll have to master the different types of islands in order to complete levels that seemingly never end.
To help you along your journey, you’ll have to use powerups like a Gummy Hand, Universal Remote, and Hairspray Rockets to complete the trickier parts of a level that feature twists and up-side-down turns like crazy. Usually, when you complete a level you get coins that will allow you to spend on not only power-ups but also extra lives and checkpoints.
Our Take
The gameplay is actually a lot of fun, but there is a bit of a learning curve to get you going, however, once you do it’s a good time. The game kind of forces you to spend game cash rather early to get a bunch of power-ups and such, but if you are able to master the mechanics up front, you should be able to balance out your earnings and complete the game without going completely nuts.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
