FX Networks Releases New “Archer, P.I.” App

This might be the most innovative feature to happen to an animated series in years.

Ever get the idea that most noir-type detective cases seen in movies and TV would be solved MUCH quicker if only there were smartphones in the 1940’s? Well, you’re in luck!

As part of the Archer: Dreamland series kicking off on April 5th on FXX Networks, FX Networks as released a brand new iPhone app called Archer, P.I. that will allow you to help solve the big case. Using your phone, you would interact with your TV, with billboards, commercials, and more to help uncover clues that will help you solve the caper!

In prior seasons, Archer has always had a good deal of Easter eggs, and there are even subreddits dedicated to the cause. THIS amplifies that specific feature and lets you have an interactive experience with Sterling and the other members of the clique formerly known as ISIS.

You can download the app here, and check out another nine new promos uploaded by FXX for Archer: Dreamland here.

Archer is an FXX original animated, half-hour comedy based on the hardboiled private eye Sterling Archer. This season features his quest to find his partner’s killer in 1947 Los Angeles. However, the case turns into a deadly game of tug of war between Los Angeles’ most powerful crime bosses with every clue leading Archer deeper into a mystery involving kidnapping, prostitution and drug addiction.

Solve cases alongside the world’s greatest spy turned private eye while you watch Archer on FXX. Wednesdays, starting April 5 at 10 PM ET/PT.
