“Fuse” Files For Bankruptcy While Paramount+ Makes Traction In International Markets

Uh oh.

The same network that’s planning to premiere new series Sugar and Toys on June 9th, 2019, Fuse, has just filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy per a report from Deadline. The network has had trouble paying it’s bills most likely due to the fact that the network has been dropped by carriers like Verizon FiOS and Comcast over the last couple of months. The network was owned by the Madison Square Garden Company run by James Dolan. James also used to be the owner of Optimum/Cablevision, so viewers subscribed to those services in NYC/NJ/CT probably won’t see any changes any time soon.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the rebuild for Paramount continues as the company has officially brought it’s streaming service to Latin American markets bringing with it South Park and a bunch of other titles from the likes of Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, etc. Known as Paramount+, the streaming service is currently available in the Nordic regions and is slowly, but surely, wrapping itself around the globe. With AAAA titles like South Park, it can do that.
