Funimation Acquires Additional Gundam English dubs
Funimation has announced a September 7th drop date for the English dub adaptations of Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (movie), Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (49 episodes), Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (50 episodes) and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (six episodes).
Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative is a Japanese animated mecha science fiction film produced by Sunrise and distributed by Shochiku. Released as part of the Gundam franchise, it is based on the 11th Gundam Unicorn novel, Phoenix Hunting.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, also known in Japan as New Mobile Report Gundam Wing is a 1995 Japanese mecha anime series directed by Masashi Ikeda and written by Katsuyuki Sumizawa. It is the sixth installment in the Gundam franchise, taking place in the “After Colony” timeline.
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a 1985 Japanese television anime series, the second installment in the Gundam franchise, and a sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam. The show was created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, with character designs by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, while the series’ mechanical designs is split among Kunio Okawara, Mamoru Nagano, and Kazumi Fujita.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is an anime series by Sunrise, adapted from the manga of the same title by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. It focuses on the stories of Casval Rem Deikun (more famously known as Char Aznable) and his sister Artesia (aka Sayla Mass).
