FOX PASSES ON TED BUT PICKS UP “ALL GROWN UP” WHICH IS KINDA LIKE TED

I guess when you pass on Ted which went on to make about a half a billion dollars, you try your best to never pass on Ted again. That said, FOX is getting ready to launch a new live-action series  called All Grown Up coming from two lads  Nat Saunders and Chris Hayward who gave us the Misery Bear run of short films. According to Deadline.com,  the show is about a guy who returns home to live with his parents all depressed after losing his job. Welp, his childhood toys come back to life to help out and BAM! we’ve got a show!

Listen, I”m no here to do the whole “which came first” debate because Alf did it best but Jesus tap-dancing Christ, how great is is that FOX passes on Seth MacFarlane’s Ted and goes ahead and signs up a show that at the very LEAST has some similarities. I think the real lesson here is when you get a first look deal with a guy that has brought you three-fifths of FOX’s Sunday Night lineup, DO NOT PASS ON IT!
