FOX To Give Live-Action/Animation Hybrids Another Go With “Richard Lovely”

Isn’t this lovely?

A couple of years ago, live-action/animation hybrids were all the year. In one year, 2017, we had Son of Zorn, Imaginary Mary, and even some kid-friendly properties. Now, it looks like FOX is going to give it another go with a new series in development called Richard Lovely that will star Jason Alexander as “Mr. Mouse” along with Wendie Malick, Nicole Sun, Asif Ali, Nicole Richie, Mason Schneiderman, Kai Cech and Thom Nemer.

Richard Lovely is the disgruntled author of a hit series of children’s books called “Mr. Mouse”  — even though he’s no fan of children. After a publicity fiasco involving an interaction with a clever nine-year-old, Mr. Mouse begins to appear in Lovely’s real life, and he is forced into an odd father-son relationship.

Our Take

The 20th Century FOX production chooses a fantastic voice for one of the lead characters. Jason has done numerous voices for numerous franchises and has even lead successful series in the past. Regardless, Richard Lovely helps continue one of the 20th’s most ambitious years in recent memory.
