FOX Teaming Up With Mike Tyson Mysteries Producers For New Series In Development
This is wild.
FOX is teaming up with Hugh Davidson, Rachel Ramras and Larry Dorf (aka the producers of Mike Tyson Mysteries which will be streaming episodes on VRV this Winter) for development of a new animated series called Buffalo Wings.
Written by Davidson, Ramras and Dorf, Buffalo Wings is about two Canadian brothers who do not follow the rest of their flock when they fly south. When their hypothesis is wrong and they almost freeze to death, they must take refuge in Buffalo, NY, where they begin to live life as immigrant refugees. This series explores what it is to be a refugee and to fall in love with this country while pursuing the “American Dream” from every possible angle.
Our Take
This pitch sounds like a reverse Fugget About It which was a show about New Yorkers flocking to Canada to escape a hit from the mob and mixed with HBO’s Animals, but given that this one is coming from the same guys that turned Mike Tyson into an animated star, I’m on board. Here’s hoping Norm MacDonald is in the pilot presentation. This could be something that the former producers of the aforementioned HBO show could lend help on.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
