There was a lot of news coming out of San Diego Comic Con this past weekend for The Legend of Korra. Luckily, not all of it revolved around the show’s move to digital exclusivity. There was some game news! First, the cover art for the Legend of Korra game was unveiled, as you can see above. It’s showing Korra’s mastery of the four elements up front, and a possible spiritual element in the background. I think this was the best of the cover arts.

Also, the more important news, Platinum Games unveiled gameplay footage of the game! Robert Conkey of Blizzard Activision states that the game takes place between Books two and three, so it’s in the two weeks after Harmonic Convergence. At first glance, if you’ve played Bayonetta, or Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, it may seem that you’ve already played this game, and you seem to be right. There’s driving sequences where you’re on Naga and you’re running through the streets of Republic City. Platinum Games does the fast paced beat ’em up very well, and that expertise goes to serve them well with The Legend of Korra. The game will be out later in the fall.

You can catch the video here!

And, in case you’ve been living under a rock, The Legend of Korra will have new episodes on Friday at noon EST on Nick.com
