Final Space Canceled After Three Seasons Via Adult Swim Or TBS Or HBO MAX…Heck We Don’t Even Know Anymore
After three seasons, and lots of speculation, Olan Rogers has announced that Final Space has been canceled by WarnerMedia. Olan Rogers did the correct thing and made the announcement just the way he came into show business, via a vlog that you can watch below.
Final Space is an American adult animated space opera comedy-drama television series created by Olan Rogers and developed by Rogers and David Sacks. The series involves an astronaut named Gary Goodspeed and his immensely powerful alien friend Mooncake, and focuses on their intergalactic adventures as they try to save the universe from certain doom.
Rogers and Sacks pitched the show to TBS; as well as Comedy Central, Fox, FX, YouTube, and Fullscreen; all six companies wanted the series and resulted in a bidding war between the studios over the series, with TBS acquiring the series. TBS ended up premiering the show’s first season, Adult Swim, the following two seasons.
Olan Rogers has noted in the past that he had a few more seasons worth of ideas that we may never see, however, don’t feel too sad about Olan’s future in television just yet. The up-and-coming producer mentioned yesterday on Instagram that he met up with Lucasfilm for a potential collaboration of sort, so this will not be the last we hear from him. In the meantime, Final Space season three debuts on Netflix internationally on Sept 16th.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
