Despite the fact that the Toonami lineup is shrinking, the original series in development sound so promising that I kind of don’t care. Chief among those, Uzumaki from Junji Ito who was featured in a recent clip where he got to talk a little bit about the development of the four-part anime series which is slated to premiere later this year with no delays coming from COVID-19 according to Toonami producer Jason DeMarco. The series is being produced by Production IG and will be shown entirely in black and white.
No word on a premiere date for Uzumaki. However, one programming note for this upcoming Saturday Night’s Toonami lineup. Adult Swim has announced that since episode 116 of Black Clover cut-off early while in broadcast, the end credits will instead re-air before episode 117 airs. Of course, this is all moot, because both episodes have been streaming on Funimation for a while now and you can clip the links to get their reviews.
After a month-long hiatus from it’s season three premiere, a new episode of Marvel’s Spider-Man is set to premiere this Sunday Night @ 9 pm ET/PT.
In the episode entitled “Amazing Friends”, when Toddler Groot lands on Earth to deliver an urgent warning, Spider-Man must decode the message and keep him out of the evil clutches of A.I.M. and Baron Mordo.
The episode will feature a mess of guest stars including Felicia Day (“The Guild”) stars as Mary Jane Watson, Sofia Wylie (Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) guest stars as Ironheart/Riri Williams and Leonard Roberts (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) guest stars as Baron Mordo.
In this clip, Felicia talks about voicing the role of the iconic character for Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
