Comics Review: FCBD 2013: Bongo Free-For-All

Spoilers Below

“Model Citizen Simpson,” So, what would happen if Bart acted on his best behavior for an entire day? Apparently, all of Springfield turns into Armageddon. Food fights start, explosions, car crashes, all because people are afraid of what Bart would do next.

“Itchy and Scratchy in: Face-Lift Feline,” shows what happens if a mouse pumps helium into a cat’s head. Yeah, not much here…

“The Brothers Grime: The Boy Who Would Not Take a Bath,” is the tale of a kid who refused to clean himself for his life. His stink got so bad, he was kicked out of the house, and out of the village. He tried to come back when he was an adult, but his parents didn’t recognize him. It was a story Homer’s dad told him. Homer then found a new calling in life.

“Bart Simpson in: Free Range” What happens when the delinquents have “delinquentitis?” They go to Bart Simpson. They still have no way to get rid of the the massive amount of eggs that they got, and vandalism is down if the town. Then the motherload hits when they take over the Duff Beer blimp, and rain eggs onto the town.

For a free comic, I thought this was awesome. Unfortunately, seeing as though Bongo has a lot of different properties under their umbrella, there wasn’t anything except Simpsons stuff. No Futurama, no Mylo Xyloto, not much by way of a sampler. So, if you were looking for something as a jump in for the rest of the line, this is not the book. However, for free Simpsons stories, this was excellent.
