Facebook Study Shows Fathers & Their Children Love Family Guy

As we all know, Father’s Day is this Sunday. (Editor’s Note: Crap!) It’s a time when children across the county thank their fathers for not beating them too often, keeping them off/introducing them to drugs, and only dropping them on their head as a child a couple times. For others, it’s a time to plot revenge on the man who, twenty years ago, just went out “for a pack of smokes.”

In honor of the holiday, Facebook examined what “likes” fathers and sons, fathers and daughters, and fathers and children of both genders have in common.

According to Facebook, “This analysis of mutual likes among self-identified fathers and their children on Facebook as compared with likes among all people who use Facebook reveals what their shared interests look like across music, athletes, entertainment and more. Only children who are over age 18 in likely father-child relationships were considered.” Top tens lists were generated for each category.

Surprisingly, Family Guy ranked as the number one show for both fathers and children, and fathers and sons. However, for some awful reason, fathers and daughters both seem to like NCIS.

“Do you see a wheelchair under Mark Harmon?”

Family Guy didn’t even crack the top ten among fathers and daughters. Teen Mom, Ellen, and Grey’s Anatomy somehow all made the top four. Fathers across the country reportedly responded, “Huh? What? I was just looking for Sportscenter.”
