English Dub Review: To Your Eternity “The Young Man Who Can See”

Overview

Fushi must stay on the move in order to keep the Nokkers from attacking, so Prince Bon accompanies him out of the castle town.

Our Take

It’s quite interesting to learn some of Bon’s backstory and the strange new ability he seems to possess. As for the spirits, I sure do hope that Bon tells Fushi about them. This unassuming servant Todo was brave enough to retrieve Prince Bon’s precious handkerchief from the dumps, and it looks like he is being taken care of well. The topic of friends and lovers is something that Fushi is unaccustomed to since he’s been living his life alone most of the time.

News goes out that Prince Bonchien has successfully managed to capture the immortal Fushi and becomes headlines in Bennett, though his lofty proclamations prove that he is more talk than action. For Fushi, he doesn’t care for anything except the possibility of the Knokkers attacking anytime, and anywhere. That said, the town of Bennett is happening with Fushi being heralded as the Hero, something that the Church will not slide of him as they blindly think anyone who has powers and isn’t on their side is deemed a “heretic”.

Overall, I found this episode to be nice to get away from Fushi for a bit, although everything does revolve around him, doesn’t it? I wonder what Tonari wanted with Bon, manipulating him into seeking Fushi like that. And based on observation, we can see in the last season finale Pioran deciding her future after she died, so most likely the other characters from March and up decided to follow Fushi when presented with a very specific choice…
