English Dub Review: The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat “Life of Falsehoods”

Overview

Lugh heads to the neighboring kingdom of Swoigel. Once a month, he travels to the Viekone region in order to visit Dia. During his visit, together Lugh and Dia develop new spells. Meanwhile, left-back home by themselves, Tarte and Maha hold a small tea party together…

Our Take

Lugh finally built a business company with moisturizers and sweets as a product. Taking advantage of the noble lady’s desire to always remain pretty was a smart move given some of the knowledge he would have about cosmetic enhancements and the fact certain beauty treatments don’t exist in the world he’s currently in. He also visits Dia once a month to learn spells and magic. I wonder if Maha and Tarte actually know about Dia already? Either way, Lugh has been blessed with 3 beauties and my word Maha is especially sexy in that borderline skin-tight suit she wears in a Lucy Liu from “Charlie’s Angels” sort of way. Despite being only 13 by this point, Lugh could easily fool others into being much older thanks to his calmness and knowledge.

It’s also nice that Maha’s friends were able to find steady employment as a result of the shops opening. On the subject of that, he supposedly has 5 years left before he faces the so-called “Hero” this show’s been building up to him having to stop before said “hero” becomes evil. While the Goddess has a comical scene where she continues to be disappointed with other people she attempts to recruit and I couldn’t help but laugh due to who she recruited this time in the episode.

Overall, this episode felt like smooth sailing for Lugh and his team as they took on new allies in the form of Maha and roles as part of his mission. Still, it did well to showcase their developing abilities and bonds as a family. I’m happy at least that Maha’s friends are enjoying a better life. It’s clear that the author put actual thought into this. I was worried that their situation was gonna be glossed over but that didn’t happen. If there are any downsides, It would have to be the torture scene which was unsettling when someone tried to sneak into Lugh’s house, and also, We never see Maha’s training unless they’re saving that for a later episode. Everything felt fast-paced but at least we now know that Lugh is closer to achieving his goal since he supposedly has 5 years left before meeting this supposed “Hero” that needs to be stopped…
