English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Steps to Make Vitality Pills”

Overview:

Everyone brings their own oven or in Wang’s case, microwave, to make vitality pills. Wang makes a friend for life by coming through with assistance. Or so it seems…

Our Take:

This episode wasn’t as fun but it was still a good time. The demon king made an appearance in his new dog form. He was the funniest part of the episode because he kept thinking he was one step ahead of Wang, but I feel that no one will be one step ahead of him.

One thing I like about this show compared to other shows with power fantasies is that Wang isn’t infallible. He makes mistakes and isn’t good at absolutely everything. Like the vitality pill, for instance, I was confident that his pill was going to be the best one. But as it turns out his was actually one of the worst. Honestly, my main problem with this show so far is that the episodes seem so short. I know technically they are only like five or so minutes shorter than average but still. Wanting more isn’t a bad thing though.
