English Dub Review: Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 “Under the Rainbow Sun”

Overview (Spoilers Below)
The Gamilans get on the Yamato and kidnap Yuki thinking that it’s Yurisha thereby failing miserably, but, in return, the Gamilans get a new asshole ripped in their fleet by Okita and his own fleet. Next up, the Yamato’s gonna need some repairs and are gonna try and get Yuki back.
Our Take
Another week, another round of crazy space battles. There isn’t another international series doing the type of high-level production that Star Blazers is doing, but these guys are showing a blueprint on how to do so. The number of characters to keep track of can get a bit overwhelming, but as long as you pick a side you can get a general consensus on what’s happening and more importantly, keep the pace of a rather frenetic series. As soon as this week’s episode launches it’s like a 22-minute roller coaster and you can’t wait to get back on next week.
