English Dub Review: Smile of the Arsnotoria “Sn-…”

Overview

Mell and Little Alberta play hide and seek with lower-classmen, Picatrix does her homework, and Abramelin spends her time doing research. Meanwhile, Arsnotoria makes her way to the great library tower to share a late lunch with “a certain person”.

Our Take

This time around it seems we have a warning-less episode as it just seems like everyone has their own interests. Not going to lie though, that green creature looked like a deformed pokemon or something.

Meanwhile, Arsnotoria’s nose can really sniff out stuff, but food seems to be the primary shtick. More sniffing, and that leads to the library where Paulina is found, though she makes a mess of the books. And I’m still left puzzled by the dark magic scenes where people are getting murdered left and right and I’m left wondering if this will be connected to the cutesy stuff we the audience are continually subjected to?

Overall, I still have no idea why people are expecting this to go dark so damn fast. They added a few world-building lores in the episode. Mainly the Lemegeton Sisters, “5th house” where apparently students get quality stuff (So elite students in a nutshell?), and it’s implied that the bad dreams are the warning scenes. Don’t get me wrong, but I really wanna get some actual plot at this point…
