English Dub Review: Shadows House “To Lord Grandfather’s Wing”

Overview:

Emilico continues to get interrogated. Kate and everyone come up with a plan and agree to help. Kate dresses up as a veiled doll to get into the wing of the house that Emilico is likely to be. Will her plan get foiled before she makes it to her beloved Emilico?

Our Take:

Well, I was wrong… I didn’t think that was Edward interrogating Emilico because of the voice. Turns out he has a power where he can mimic voices. Which he uses to great effect to lure Kate into a trap using Emilico’s voice. Edward is an interesting character, as far as antagonists go you can’t do much better.

One thing I really like is how what seems to be snapping most of the dolls out of the control of the coffee is their shadow masters showing concern for them. Turns out love can really solve most things. They still need to work on how they word things but it’s the thought behind the words that matters right? Sure it’s kind of a “power of friendship” type of thing but I think it works here without being too cliche.

This was a fun episode but it was mostly setup and follow-through of a plan. I think the main stuff will be coming in the next episode which unfortunately is also the last one. I am really sad to see this show coming to an end. It has been creepy and charming all at the same time which is hard to pull off. With Halloween right around the corner, it’s perfect for binging if you’re looking for something spooky.

I can’t wait to see how Kate and Emilico solve their current situation. Their relationship has been really awesome to witness. It has grown and you can see that Kate really cares for Emilico now. I love seeing friendships like this and I really hope the final episode ends on a good note. Hopefully, I can bring you all the review next week! It might skip a week but we’ll see.
