English Dub Review: Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin “The Blue-Eyed Angel”

The group begins a new journey, but they soon find themselves under attack. Not by demons, but by humans…

Our Take:

I have no experience at all with this franchise and I’ll admit I did feel a little bit lost. From what I could tell, this is the starting point of the series so maybe I am supposed to be a bit confused. Only time will tell and so far it’s at least got an interesting enough premise.

Where this show absolutely kills it though is with its voice cast. It’s only one episode in and they all seem to have amazing chemistry together as well. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series if we get to keep getting killer performances from David Matranga, Ian Sinclair, Greg Ayres, and Howard Wang. With how this episode presented everything it was almost like taking a road trip with some of my favorite voice actors.

The plot is a bit confusing and I don’t know if it will clear up anytime soon. But good animation and a great voice cast can solve a lot of problems. I will look forward to seeing how this one plays out.
