English Dub Review: Parallel World Pharmacy “The Empress and an Imperial Charter”

Overview:

Farma keeps treating the Empress until she is fully healed. In return for his services, she gives Farma a great reward.

Our Take:

Farma continues treating the Empress and once she’s fully recovered, she grants his wish. Farma tells her son that he wants to open his own pharmacy in the capital and the Empress makes it so. Farma’s warned that people won’t take too kindly to his methods and he experiences that firsthand, but he’s still determined.

He also gets plenty of help from Ellen and Lotte. Plus, Bruno lets Cedric go so he can be Farma’s accountant Not only that, but Bruno also gives Farma plenty of gold to get his business started.

I’m glad Farma is getting his pharmacy started and a pharmaceutical guild has already taken notice. I’m curious if the guild will be a nuisance to Farma. It seems like they will based on this first interaction, but Ellen also might have scared them off.

It’s nice to see the Empress, Ellen, Lotte, Cedric, and even Bruno so eager to help Farma with this dream. On a side note, I was genuinely shocked to hear that Lotte is only nine years old. She’s so young and she’s working as a servant. To be fair, Farma is technically only one year older than her, but that’s a completely different circumstance.

As a whole, this is a good start for Farma to finally realize his dream. Parallel World Pharmacy is open for business and he’s going to be able to deliver medicine to those who need it, regardless of class.
