English Dub Review: IS IT WRONG TO TRY TO PICK UP GIRLS IN A DUNGEON? II “Argonaut”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

We’re continuing our battle with the Ishtar Familia as Bell makes the save against a once considered suicidal Haruhime. Fortunately, all sorts of backup arrive from not just the Hestia Familia, but the Freya Familia who shows up and literally scares the shit out of Ishtar. As the city burns, Ares shows up and it appears that he’s planning to shake things up.

Our Take

Bar none I don’t think there’s a better musical score in anime than Is It Wrong to Try To Pick up Girls In A Dungeon. It’s so well produced and is timed to perfection on the level of some of Hollywood’s top-notch full-length features. The frenetic as hell action sequences continue to be the bread and butter of the show that accompanies the high-brow nature of the show’s very Games of Throne-y plot. In any event, it’s a bunch of fun with gorgeous visuals and English dub performances that do just enough to keep this thing stable.
