English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? “Desperate | Dungeon Do-Or-Die Time”

Overview:

Hope glimmers in the darkness; the Xenos appear in the party’s hour of need, and Bell and Ryu make steady progress despite all odds. They may all survive this after all.

Our Take:

So I think we all know that at the very least, Bell is going to survive. There is no series without him, though I do think there is going to be one more big problem before they get rescued. But my point is that we know he’s going to live but I have to say that I’m very impressed with how this series manages to make it still tense despite all that.

I have to say I like the reinforcements that Hestia sent for her familia. The cat girl who says “Are you kitten me?” is especially hilarious. I know most people don’t like gimmicks like that but I find it to be the levity needed in what has been a very depressing arc.

Who knew that making a knife out of a unicorn horn would have such lasting benefits. Such as absorbing some really bad poison when getting stabbed with some porcupine monsters needle. I feel like I’m letting myself down not remembering where he got that knife. Apparently, Welf made it but I’ve been looking for an excuse to rewatch the series and this is my newest reason.
