English Dub Review: Deca Dence “Turbo Charger”

Overview

The final operation has begun. With a two-part plan set in motion consisting of Natsume and Kaburagi infiltrating the Gadoll Factory, while the other half focused on the underground prison workers revolting against the guards lead by Donatello. Within two separate subplots conflict is afoot when Natsume and Kaburagi both encounter the Solid Quake administrator “Hugin” who attacks them, while an enhanced security team begins to scrap the rioting inmates, and it’s at this point when Sarkozy reveals to Donatello who the real traitor is amongst their team…

Our Take

This was quite a tense and thrilling episode! With Kaburagi and Natsume on the offensive, while the prison tech-head, Jill is backing them up and Donatello rampaging through that shit-hole with the other angry inmates. I really thought things went bad for a second but luckily Jill’s hacking skills made the battle against the administrator-level threat evenly matched.

You also gotta appreciate the subtle messages within this series about going beyond your limits and that you don’t have to be content with the shitty limitations of the circumstances around you To just have some fun, and Donatello further exemplified this when he unleashed hell on all the enhanced guards.

Overall, this was a well-paced action-filled episode That hit all the right notes. After the way it ended, I’m curious about how the remaining episodes will unfold especially in regards to how Natsume will react to this particularly shattering information.
