English Dub Review: Black Clover “Go! Go! First Mission”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Asta, Noelle Silva and Magna Swing have to head to a far-off city to help clear out some boar after Magna and Yami lose big in a game of poker. It’s here we get to see Magna break out his broom, which looks more like a Harley-Davidson than a broom, and the trio head on their journey. Unfortunately, a mysterious figure named Heath Grice shows up, clears house of the boars before the Black Bulls can get there, and has a mission of his own.

Our Take

This week’s episode of Black Clover served mostly as a comedy-filler episode, as a lot of the plot points could’ve progressed a lot quicker if the producers had really wanted to. Instead, the episode sort of drags on, though the ending definitely sets up one of the more interesting arcs that we’ve had up until this point.
