English Dub Review: ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. “Furawau’s Flowers Smell of Malice”

Let’s set the table.

This week, Jean is in Furawau where he gets to be Lilium’s bro whom also happens to be the district chief. As it turns out, Furawau is the backbone of Dowa and has a lot of weight amongst the districts. If you recall, every episode has featured Jean getting a cig representative of their district, and with the final one being collected in this episode, Jean has ’em all which is a sign that each of the districts are in support of the coup and of Jean being the eventual heir over Prince Schwann. While in town, Jean nearly gets killed had it not been for Nino who takes a few in the back for his long-time friend but looks to be able to pull through.

Back at ACCA, feathers are rustling about a post-coup organization, especially with Warbler whom at first isn’t crazy about the coup but eventually, warms up to the idea. Even Grossular isn’t all that thrilled with Lilium and tells Mauve just that.

Our Take

A lot of this week’s episode is just setup for what hopefully is some crazy shit about to go down. The try on Jean’s life is actually the most action-packed event of the season aside from his sister’s almost abduction…maybe even more so. Other than that, the second half of the episode was a lot of jib-jab nonsense. Should be a killer finale!
