Emmys 2018: “Rick and Morty”, “Robot Chicken” , “Family Guy” Among Winners

The run down.

Adult animation swept the animated Emmys last night and they picked some pretty good series to win. For starters, Adult Swim gets it’s very first “Outstanding Animated Program” win which is so long overdue (technically 2004 winner Samurai Jack was on the Cartoon Network portion of the network, not Adult Swim just yet) with Rick and Morty beating out past winners Bob’s Burgers, South Park, and The Simpsons. Alex Borstein also gets her long overdue award for portraying “Lois” on Family Guy which should’ve happened 10 years ago as well. Check out a list of the winners and then see a clip with Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland explain how YOU can voice over an Emmy-winning series one day.
