DVD Review: Dick Figures the Movie

If you were like me and bought the Dick Figures the Movie when it first came out on Amazon and/or iTunes, then you already know that this is an awesome movie worthy of your hard-earned cash. However, when you put in the disc and check out the special features, you really come to appreciate the hard work that Zack Keller, Ed Skudder, and the rest of the 6 Point Harness crew put into every minute of making a feature-length animated film.

The movie commentary is kind of a laugh riot because you are listening to the voices of Red and Blue whilst watching an animated film with lead characters Red and Blue. Is there a challenge in sometimes differentiating who is saying what when? At times yea, but at the end of the day you laugh your ass off. The featurettes are probably my favorite part of the home release. In what should be required reading for anyone wanting to make cartoons for a living, Ed and Zack take you through step by step in how to record voices, write dialogue, animate, and the rest of the nine excruciating yards you have to go to get this thing done on time and on budget.

Is this a great buy? You bet!
