DVD Review: The Cleveland Show Season 4

The_Cleveland_Show_Season_4_DVD

We are in an interesting predicament with this DVD release from The Cleveland Show. On one hand you have a series that was pretty much the least popular of the ‘Seth Mary Three’ when compared to American Dad and Family Guy.  Most of the plots and characters were rehashed Family Guy characters that really were just never well-received no matter how hard the writers tried. It wasn’t long before The Cleveland Show abandoned any original arcs in favor of guest stars that we probably have seen elsewhere a thousand times.

However, now that The Cleveland Show has officially been cancelled and Cleveland’s fam is heading with him back to Quahog, the DVD release for The Cleveland Show Season 4 is now a part of history. Years from now, people may look back fondly at The Cleveland Show so having the fourth season as  a home release could be one of those trinkets you hold on to and treasure. Getting 23 episodes for $25 is a really good value when you consider that Amazon’s offer is at about $30, but with the home release you get the episodes uncensored so at the very least you have the added bonus of hearing some good ol fashioned Virginia swearin’.

Unfortunately, the release has not ONE special feature to speak of which devalues a purchase so unless if you are hard up on wanting some Cleveland Show, then this isn’t a really good buy.

thumbs down
