DVD Review: Bob’s Burgers Season 3
Season 3 of Bob’s Burgers was a defining one for the animated series. It was the first time the show really went unchallenged on FOX for its time slot, and in terms of popularity, was the season where every other internet publication jumped on the bandwagon (we jumped on MUCH earlier…like at the offset of season two).
The problem is the home releases have sucked for the better part of the show’s entire life-span which is silly because Bob’s Burgers Season One on DVD is a masterpiece. This holds true for Bob’s Burgers Season 3 on DVD because really there is no value in ordering it. The release is exclusive to Amazon, but guess what? You can purchase Bob’s Burgers Season 3 in Standard Definition for $10 less than the MSRP, and better yet, you don’t have to pay Shipping & Handling. There are no special features to speak of, so really you aren’t missing out on much more than a door stop.
Bob’s Burgers continues to be one of the best animated comedies on TV right now, unfortunately, its home releases are nowhere close.
