Disney Begins The Purge Of Adult Animation From It’s Services Starting May 26th

Memorial Day weekend is a time in which America remembers the brave warriors who have fallen in their quest to protect the freedoms that everyday Americans enjoy everyday. The weekend will have additional credence to this custom starting May 26th, as Disney+ and Hulu will begin purging some select adult animation titles from its service.

So far, the list includes Earth to Ned on Disney+, Duncanville, and Little Demon from Hulu. This is said to be just the start of a $1.8 billion write down of content from the streaming services that could include a number of other titles to be announced at a later date. The likes of HBO MAX, Netflix, and others have also started removing content from its services, mostly as a means to reduce overhead costs in online storage, payment of royalties to the various pricey unions, and potentially readying the service for a combination with Hulu which could happen next year as Comcast looks to sell off its final rights sliver that it still has leftover.

The news of Little Demon‘s removal must be music to the conservative ears of those like Ted Nugent, various members of the GOP, and the PTC, all of whom took turns taking swings at the series whose premise revolves around an anti-christ daughter named Chrissy having to battle monsters sent by her father, Satan, who wants custody of his child. Also of note, this probably lessens the chance of the series being renewed for a second season, made even more notable earlier this week when it was announced that the show’s former lead-in, Archer, would be celebrating its final season later this year.
