Directors For “Rick and Morty” Get Much-Needed Love In New Clip

Probably the true unheralded heroes of any animated series, the directors, and in this new clip from Adult Swim we get to meet some of the directors for Rick and Morty which has a new episode this Sunday Night @ 1130 pm ET/PT.

Unlike live-action directing which is can be noisy and somewhat elitist, directors in animation are far more quiet, concentrating on staying on schedule so that they can get their part of the project to completion so that they don’t have to have one of those dreaded 16-hour days (a lot of them end up having to do so anyway).

In this clip, Erica Hayes, Anthony Chun, and others tell us how they get to put their own personalities into each and every episode that comes out. Seriously, do yourselves a favor, find these son of a bitches on Twitter and thank them for their hard work. Even show co-creator Dan Harmon notes that they could probably be making more money elsewhere, and given current job openings by the likes of Netflix, Titmouse, Disney, and Nickelodeon, all right around the corner, he might be more right than he knows.
