“Deadpool” Animated Series Cancelled At FX Networks

Wow.

FX’s animated series adaptation of Deadpool was supposed to be at WonderCon 2018, however, unceremoniously was pulled from the schedule and now we know why. The 10 episode ordered series from Donald Glover and Stephen Glover has officially been canceled by FX Networks. The reasoning for the cancellation apparently stems from creative differences between network and the producers and Marvel TV though no other info has been revealed other than the fact that Donald Glover Tweeted the script.

If you recall, we weren’t feeling the 2018 premiere happening anyway, but FX Networks is completely failing at its goal to launch a new animated series after Archer. With only 16 episodes left to air of FX”s critically acclaimed series left, including the show’s ninth season kicks off next month, FX joins Comedy Central in cable networks that don’t appear to have a clue whereas Adult Swim, Netflix, and others continue to outshine them.

This isn’t the first-time FX Networks has canceled an animated series after it was ordered. A couple of years ago, FX pulled the plug on the highly-anticipated Cassius & Clay.
