DC Animation News From FanDome 2020 Part 1

 

 

 

While we didn’t hear anything about an official pickup of DC Universe’s  HBO Max’s Harley Quinn animated series, the fact that they did an animated Q&A with her is a good sign and hopefully we’ll get some news by the time the second part of DC Fandome 2020 rolls around on September 12th. In the meantime, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any news to be had.

On the same day as the panel for Superman: Man of Tomorrow, which is out now on digital, the DC Animated Universe has announced it’s slate for 2021 in the form of four new feature films and rumblings of a Static Shock animated film as well. The 2021 slate includes:

During the Static Shock panel, Reginald Hudlin teased that animated films in collaboration with DC Animation and his own Milestone Media are currently in escrow with talk of bringing one or numerous characters produced by Milestone Media into the small screen. This may or may not include Static Shock, though with animated series star Phil LaMarr on the panel, it’s looking like a strong likelihood.
