D23: “The Simpsons” To Spread Horror-Themed Episodes To Thanksgiving Just In Time For Disney+

Cast and producers for The Simpsons were on hand to make their debut at the D23 conference in celebration of the entire series being made available starting November 12th on the Disney+ streaming service which will kick off with all sorts of premium offerings from the media conglomerate’s treasure trove of franchises which includes Marvel (e.g. the animated What If? series that will feature MCU voices), Star Wars (including the return of The Clone Wars), and more.  Disney+ will launch in the U.S. on November 12, 2019 for $6.99 per month

There were some additional tidbits presented at the D23 conference including the confirmation of all the guest stars happening for the show’s 31st season, further highlighted by Jon Lovitz’s return as “Artie Ziff”. And not only are we getting a new iteration of Treehouse of Horror, but The Simpsons will also be taking part in a “Thanksgiving of Horror” that the producers say will be super scary. Also, Apu isn’t going anywhere so get over it.

The 31st season of THE SIMPSONS, the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, will feature a multitude of guest voices, including singer, songwriter, record producer and pianist John Legend, his wife, supermodel and author Chrissy Teigen (“Lip Sync Battle”), and Zach Woods (“Silicon Valley”). Additional guest voices this season include Fortune Feimster (“Life in Pieces”), Asia Kate Dillon (“John Wick 3,” “Billions”), Jim Parsons (“Big Bang Theory”), Scott Bakula (“NCIS: New Orleans”) and directors Joseph and Anthony Russo (“Avengers: Endgame”). As previously announced, John Mulaney (“Saturday Night Live”), Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”), Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”) and primatologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall also are heard this season.

The Simpsons return on September 29th @ 8 pm ET/PT, only on FOX.
