Crunchyroll Reveals Premiere Date/English Dub Cast For “Onyx Equinox”

 

Set to stream on November 21st only on Crunchyroll will be the original series from Sofia Alexander known as Onyx Equinox. The English dub cast is as follows:

  • Izel will be voiced by Olivia Brown
  • Yaotl will be voiced by Alejandro Vargas-Lugo
  • Zyanya will be voiced by Carolina Ravassa
  • Yun will be voiced by Patrick Pedrazza
  • K’in will be voiced by Juan Arturo Maldonado
  • Xanastaku will be voiced by Kimberly Woods
  • Nelli, K’i’ik, and Meque will all be voiced by Sofia Alexander
  • Tezcatlipoca will be voiced by Arin Hanson
  • Mictlantecuhtli will be voiced by Castulo Guerra
  • Quetzalcoatl will be voiced by Zeus Mendoza
  • The Healer will be voiced by Fayna Sanchez

The new series comes at a questionable time for Crunchyroll. A new tiered subscription model to go along with rumors that the entire service might be sold off by WarnerMedia to Sony who balked at a $1.5 billion offer, the anime brand also has numerous co-productions in the works for Adult Swim’s Toonami brands which could come to light this weekend.

Synopsis:

The story follows a young Aztec boy named Izel who is saved from death by the gods and is chosen to act as ‘humanity’s champion,’ forced to discard his apathy toward his fellow man and prove humanity’s potential.
