Comics Review: The Flintstones #8

So sick of this series.

Clod’s gearing up for war with the Lizard People so Wilma and Betty head to a “farm” to visit their mom leaving the kids to have to more or less manage the day-to-day activities around the house that Fred and Barney don’t know how to do. During the course of the issue, Clod’s trying to gain funds to up his military and while it’s teased as a conflict, there really isn’t any when the kids need to take on some of the chores that Wilma and Betty normally do like loading the dishwasher or making lunch. At the end of the day, they are teenagers…they can manage.

Our Take

This comics series is just so bizarre. It’s not even funny bizarre anymore, just bizarre. The plot points set up in the synopsis are a bit overblown as to what you actually get in the issue, and we really get a comics issue where nothing really every happens. I just don’t get it anymore. I think it’s time we revert these reboots back to whence they came and bring back the golden oldies of The Flintstones.
