“CHEW” Animated Movie Not Happening
Welp, there goes that idea.
Detective Comics John Layman has confirmed to Pursue News that the animated movie adaptation of CHEW! that featured David Tennant, Steven Yeun, and others amongst its attached ranks is officially not happening.
Chew centers on a detective (Yeun) who is a “cibopath,” a person who gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats, and is set in a world where bird meats are illegal after bird flu killed millions of Americans. (Day is his love interest, a food critic who can write about food so precisely the reader actually feels like they are tasting it.
Our Take
Tis the season for continued bad news, but at least we got some closure on a project we haven’t heard from in a couple of years now.
