Celebrity Reactions To “The Simpsons” Changing The Voice Actor For Dr. Hibbert

Some early reactions after the recent news of Harry Shearer was stepping down as the voice of Dr. Hibbert in favor of Kevin Michael Richardson. For starters, creator Matt Groening says that the makeup of The Simpsons was never to discriminate, but rather, was more of a convenience to have actors voice as many characters as possible. While he’s all for behind-the-scenes being more inclusive, he’s cognizant of the fact that no matter what he says, the fake internet goes berserk, causing PR department at networks to react.
